It’s not so much that I thrive on awkwardness; it’s more that I’m awkward and thriving. I’m an introvert, writer, yoga teacher, and a lover of rosé. I’m bad at wearing coats even though I live in the PNW. I love bright colors, most pickled things, houseplants, eclectic art, the Red Sox, and handwriting letters. I think the biggest joys in life can be found in the smallest things and you’ll find me celebrating the tiny victories on the regular.
The Awkward Olive started as a place for me to practice story telling (what I’m cooking, crafting, reading, thinking, discovering on any given day) and like me it is ever evolving. One of my goals for 2019 is to get better at proof-reading. I currently spend my days styling women throughout the Willamette Valley, personal shopping and merchandising as the Manager of a boutique in McMinnville, OR. I spend a lot of my free time wrangling my troll baby of a bulldog, pretending like I know what I’m doing in the garden and trying to develop my skills as a domestic goddess.
